Heating and gas engineers across the UK
We work nationally from our base in Baldock. Installations, servicing, repairs, air conditioning and renewables - the same engineers, the same fixed quotes, wherever the job is.
Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and North London
Our home patch. Same-day callouts are usually possible here.

Commercial contracts and installation work nationwide, scheduled around your site.
One address, and the ground we travel from it
We trade from a single address in Baldock. Everything on this page describes where our engineers travel to, and none of it describes a branch office - because there are not any. A contractor listing a local office in every town they cover is not telling you the truth, and it is worth being wary of one whose coverage map says otherwise.
What that means in practice is a difference in scheduling rather than in standards. The towns nearest the base are ground we are on regularly, so a callout there is straightforward to fit in. Further out, installation and commercial work is planned - a date agreed in advance, and the job scheduled around your site rather than squeezed into a gap.
The work itself, the Gas Safe registration and the fixed quote are the same in both cases. Where distance genuinely affects what a job costs to attend, that appears in the quotation rather than as a surprise on the invoice.
- One trading address, and honest scheduling from it
- No branch offices claimed anywhere on this site
- Gas Safe registered engineers wherever the job is
- Travel costs stated in the quotation, not added afterwards
The same work, wherever the postcode is
Boiler servicing and repairs make up most of the domestic work. A boiler losing pressure, short-cycling, making noise or throwing a fault code is usually repairable, and it is worth finding out before replacing it. Where a replacement genuinely is the answer, what matters is the heat loss of the property, whether the existing pipework and radiators suit the system, and whether the flue can terminate compliantly.
Alongside that: annual servicing, landlord gas safety checks, air conditioning, and heat pumps. A heat pump is not a like-for-like swap for a boiler - it runs at a much lower flow temperature, so the emitters and the insulation have to be assessed before anybody quotes. Anyone who skips that is guessing, and the guess turns up later as a house that never quite gets warm.
Commercial work is planned around your site rather than around ours. Plant rooms, warm air systems, catering equipment and scheduled maintenance, with the visits agreed in advance and the paperwork issued afterwards rather than chased.
- Boiler installation, repairs and annual servicing
- Landlord gas safety checks and certification
- Air conditioning and heat pumps, surveyed before quoting
- Commercial plant and scheduled maintenance contracts
Common questions
Do you actually cover all of these places?
Yes. The towns closest to our base in Baldock are ground we are on regularly, so same-day callouts there are usually possible. The rest is planned work rather than same-day, and we will tell you honestly when an engineer can reach you rather than quote an arrival window we cannot keep.
Do you have an office in each town?
No, and we would rather say so. We trade from one address and travel from it. A page claiming a local office in dozens of towns is not telling you the truth, and it is worth being wary of any contractor whose coverage map says otherwise.
Is the price different depending on where I am?
The work, the standards and the certification are the same everywhere. Distance can affect what a job costs to attend, and if it does we will say so in the quote rather than after.
My town is not listed - can you still come?
Usually. The list is the places we are asked for most often, not the limit of where we work. Call the office and ask rather than assuming.
Are your engineers Gas Safe registered?
Every engineer doing gas work is on the Gas Safe Register, and you are entitled to ask to see the card on the day. It names the individual and lists exactly which categories of gas work they are qualified for, which differs between engineers.
I can smell gas - who do I call?
Not us first. Turn the supply off at the meter if you can reach it safely, open the windows, leave the electrics alone, and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. It is free and staffed day and night.
Not sure whether we reach you?
Call the office and ask. The lists above are where we are asked for most often, not the limit of where we work.
